The Directors

John Wright BSc(Hons) FCA

Has been a Principal in the firm since 1995. Prior to that John trained and qualified with a medium sized practice, and then went on to an international firm where he specialised in audit and investigations.

John is responsible for an extensive portfolio of clients and has particular expertise within the corporate sector. He has many years experience in dealing with small and medium sized companies.

Chris Trevor BA(Hons) ACA CTA

Joined the firm after graduating from the University of Kent. After qualifying Chris joined the taxation department of a top international firm to gain specialist experience in taxation and qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser. Chris returned to Stoten Gillam in 2002 and looks after a varied client portfolio of small businesses.

Chris enjoys dealing with tax enquiries and disputes with HMRC to obtain the best outcome for our clients. He also has expertise in IT matters and advises on computerised accounts packages.

The Accountants

Sue Cox BA(Hons) FCCA

After obtaining a business degree from the University of Hertfordshire Sue has worked both in practice and industry. Returning to practice in 1995 Sue now looks after a client portfolio and brings her wide business experience to bear when specialising in solving some of our more challenging assignments.

Jo Linter BA(Hons) FCCA

Jo is a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant with extensive general practice experience of servicing small and medium sized businesses. She has a good knowledge of many bookkeeping systems and assists John with his clients.

Suman Mal BSc(Hons) ACCA

Suman has been with Stoten Gillam since graduating in 2003, and gained her ACCA qualification with the firm. She works closely with Sue and has gained much experience in all areas of our work.

Lindsey Roe BSc(Hons) MAAT ACCA

Lindsey joined Stoten Gillam in 2004 as a trainee and gained her AAT and ACCA qualifications with the firm. Lindsey assists Chris with much of his client portfolio and has wide ranging experience with small business accountancy and tax matters, including assisting with clients that use the Sage computerised accounts package.

Tracy Collins

Tracy has been with the firm for many years. She has much experience with preparing accounts for sole traders and with preparing personal tax returns.

Zoya Sharif ACCA

Zoya has recently completed her training and is now a fully qualified Chartered Certified Accountant. Zoya has gained lots of experience with the firm since joining us in 2008 and prepares accounts for our sole trader, partnership and company clients.

Adam Peart

Adam is studying for the ACCA qualification and assists with the accounts preparation for our clients.

Matthew Smith

Matthew joined Stoten Gillam in Autumn 2010 as a trainee. He is studying towards the ACCA qualification.

Many of our clients value Rona’s friendly and efficient service. She attends to all of the payroll services undertaken for our clients.

The Support Team

We are supported by Margaret, Karen and Sarah. They ensure the smooth running of the firm and provide a friendly and efficient service when you call into our office or telephone us.
